In addition to ClaimID (just added) there are a few other OpenID sites where our i-names worked when we tried ‘em recently. Here’s the ones we remember off the top of our heads.
- 1id - sent contact message to 1id i-name user
- 2idi - sent contact message to 2idi i-name user
- SXORE - reputation site started by Sxip
If you know of any others, please let us know. Also let us know if there’s an OpenID site where you want to use your i-name but can’t and we’ll work with them to smooth things out.

A nice plugin for wordpress : open-id comments for wordpress : makes it possible to leave comments on a wordpress blog using your i-name (maybe you could use it here ?) and turns your blog into an openidserver : http://the-notebook.org/?p=5&cp=10#comments

Thanks for pointing out the plugin. We’d love to use it here. Not sure how plugins work for free blogs at wordpress.com (this blog is one of them). We’ll look into it.

Some other sites accepting i-names are from the stable of one of the iname broker. https://authn.gbtn.biz http://contact.gbtn.biz and http://link.gbtn.biz.
https://authn.gbtn.biz is also capable of doing OpenID authentication.

So the link
http://the-notebook.org/?p=5&cp=10#comments
goes to a page in Cyrillic
And now spam
What ever happened to this iname thing, did it just die or get taken over by corporations?
I keep looking for signs of life.
